Head Coach of the Men’s National League and BUCS Division 2 teams, Chris joined the club in 2013 after taking a hiatus from coaching following the birth of his first child. Prior to that Chris had a highly successful period as a coach at the junior levels of Basketball. After completing his coaching badges under the tutelage of his former teacher Mike Burton, Chris began his coaching career at the Ellesmere Port Panthers club, working his way up the age groups after starting out with Primary School aged children.

Whilst continuing with coaching, Wilson also spent a period as the statistician for the Cheshire BBL franchise, all the time adding to his basketball knowledge. Chris took over the club’s Under 18 team in 2008 and enjoyed a successful period, taking the team to 3 finals visits, coming away with 2 final 8 appearances and one national finals runners up medal. A testament to Chris’ coaching is the number of his players who went on the represent both England and Great Britain basketball teams at youth level. Since taking over at the uni, Chris has headed up a front office that has propelled the club forward into a Division 3 National League team and also a highly respected programme in local basketball.
