Phil returned to play for the University of Chester as Alumni after two successful spells as a student at BUCS level, helping the team to two separate promotions in both periods of study. Phil’s basketball career currently spans 17 years, years which have seen him play in College in the US for Mount Aloysius at NCAA level, as well as playing in the BBL for the local Cheshire team in both of their guises, Jets and Phoenix.
Prior to University of Chester entering a team in the National League Phil also played for for Division 3 rivals Sefton Stars alongside Club Captain Niel Gillard. After years of service to University Basketball, Phil graduated with an MSc in Management and Information alongside equivalent US qualifications. Outside of basketball he is currently working towards becoming a fully qualified Personal Trainer and you may well notice several of the team wearing his branded T-Shirts throughout the season.
